Why Do You Race?TM

You have found the web site for the COASTAL GEORGIA Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s (FCA) Endurance Sports Ministry Race Series. The purpose of FCA Endurance is to accomplish FCA’s Vision and Mission in the endurance sports world through athletes living and competing for God’s glory.  Whether you do 5K's for fun, cycle in a local series, or triathlon for a living... if you're doing it for Jesus, we want you on our TEAM!  This is why we race:

Who We Are:

FCA Endurance is a Sports Ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) dedicated to ministering to and through endurance sports. 

Our Vision:  To Impact

To see the endurance world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.

Our Mission:  To Present

To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

Our Purpose:  To Unite & Equip

We are uniting and equipping Christian endurance athletes to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and share that faith with others.

Our Plan:  Teamwork

God is bringing together a National Team of Christian endurance athletes who love the Lord, love their sport, and feel called to impact those within their sport for Jesus Christ.  Through coming together, those on the Team are able to experience the countless blessings of Christian community with those whom they share an endurance passion.  More importantly, we are able to have a much bigger impact on the endurance world together than we could as individuals. 



FCA Endurance gives adult Christian athletes and all who support endurance athletics the chance to tell the world why they do the things they do and why they are the people they are. The ministry’s goal is to unite people competing for a common goal (to glorify God) and create a stronger front to influence others and defeat spiritual warfare going on in society and sports. It also serves as a way for believers to recognize each other and share in a closer fellowship with one another while enjoying endurance sports.

Savannah Race Series


Run For The Kids! 

Savannah FCA Endurance presents the premier  Savannah Golf Course 5K/10K Race Series. This one of a kind series will take participants on some of the top golf courses in Savannah. These courses will provide a beautiful run with amazing landscape, lakes and free from traffic.

  

Benefits:

 - Hole in One Golf Challenge. Just want to Golf or Have a Friend that won’t run with you? Simply play golf at Henderson or Savannah Harbor on the day of the race and you’ll receive a coupon for a Free Club, 4 chances for hole    in one Prize and maybe even a chance to win $1,000,000.

- Nice, wicking t-shirt guaranteed for the first 200 or 300 sign ups at each race or choise of wicking running hat

- Free Photo and Personalized Race Result Cards

Race Dates:

1st race – Friday, Oct 23rd - 5K/10K - at Henderson golf club – 6:30pm

2nd race – Thursady, Nov 26th – 5K/10K Henderson golf club / Savannah Christian Ten Can Run – 9am

 (Race 2 will tie into the same Course as race 1 but we will run a different path)

3rd race – Thursday, Dec 31st – Westin Savannah Golf Resort – 5:30pm

Race Fees:                           

Race 1: $25 by Oct 16th, $30 after Oct 16th including Race Day
Race 2: $15 by Nov 19th plus you must bring 10 cans of food to support SCC Lighthouse Ministry.  $20 after Nov 19th
Race 3: $25 by Dec 24th, $30 after Dec 24th including Race Day

Free – Run free at all three races by joining the Coastal FCA Home Team. A ministry dedicated to reaching out to our youth and changing lives. More info at – www.coastalfca.org

Awards:                

                Awards will be presented to the top 3 in each age group in each division as well as the overall winners of each race and overall for the series. Age groups = 14 and under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64 and over 65

Directions:           

Race 1: Henderson Golf Club is located at - 1 Al Henderson Blvd, Savannah, Ga – Near Hwy 17 & Hwy 204
Race 2: Starts at Savannah Christian Church -  55 Al Henderson Blvd, Savannah, Ga – Near Hwy 17 and Little Neck Rd
Race 3: Westin Savannah Golf Resort – 1 Resort Dr, Savannah, Ga – Across the Sav river on Hutchinson Island

Registration Options:

                - Sign up at “The Sourse” bookstore located at Savannah Christian Church

                - Mail below form with check paid to -

- If you have signed up as a Coastal Home Team Member, you must email "Daniel Pavlin" dpavlin@bwcco.com and     include your shirt size and race that you want to run
