Who will rebuild our walls and repair our gates? When Nehemiah saw that the walls and gates that protecting his city were broken and burned, he called on the believers and leaders in the temple to rebuild the walls and repair the gates. The project was approached in a very methodical manner. The builders focused on the sections of the wall most near where they lived. This assured they would give their best and work quickly to protect the area about which they were most specifically passionate. Some did the labor and some provided the materials and resources.
Likewise our walls and gates need repair. Our schools prepare our greatest treasures, our children, and through their gates will walk our future leaders and citizens. It is time for the believers to rise up and join with our educators to assure the enemies of addiction, hopelessness, sexual depravity, and apathy are not allowed to over-run our schools.
Nehemiah did not do it alone and we can not either.
